In the FA Cup football final played at Wembley Stadium, Manchester United defeated its arch-rival Manchester City 2-1 to win the title for the 13th time in its history. Arsenal has won the FA Cup a total of 14 times. Manchester United last won the title in 2016 by defeating Crystal Palace in extra time. In the first half of the final match, Alejandro Garnacho scored in the 30th minute and Kobil Manu scored in the 39th minute to give United a 2-0 lead and lay the foundation for victory. Jeremy Dokuo scored in the 87th minute for Manchester City to reduce the margin to 2-1. After an aggressive start, the City team's defense became disorganized and United forced them to play more in the middle of the field. Rodri attempted an equalizer in the last moments of extra time which failed. In the entire match, City players passed the ball to each other 664 times and attacked United's goal box 19 times but the ball kept passing over the goal post.
