Mamta Banerjee made serious allegations against BSF and Central Government

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee raised serious questions on the Center and the Border Security Force (BSF), accusing them of a conspiracy to destabilize the state. He alleged that BSF was allowing infiltrators from Bangladesh to enter the state. The Chief Minister termed the issue as a “nefarious act” of the Center and called it a conspiracy to disturb peace in the state.

Mamta Banerjee’s allegations on BSF

  • Mamata Banerjee said, “BSF is allowing infiltration from different areas of the state and atrocities are being committed on women.”
  • He made it clear that the security of the border is the responsibility of the Central Government and not of his party TMC.
  • Mamata alleged, “Those accusing TMC of allowing infiltration are forgetting that it is the responsibility of BSF.”

Announcement of writing a letter to the center

  • Mamta Banerjee said that the state police has all the information related to this issue.
  • Citing information received through DGP Rajeev Kumar and local sources, she said, “I will write a strong letter to the central government in this matter.”
  • The Chief Minister stressed that it was necessary to maintain peace in West Bengal and good relations with Bangladesh.

BJP’s counterattack

BJP gave a sharp reply to the allegations of West Bengal Chief Minister.

Statement of BJP leader Sukant Majumdar:

  • He accused Mamata Banerjee of being in a state of confusion.
  • “Despite not providing land to build a post for border surveillance, Mamata Banerjee is blaming BSF,” Majumdar said.
  • He also said that Mamata has now started accusing the officials of her administration also.

Other reactions of BJP:

  • BJP leaders said that the Chief Minister is trying to hide the failure of her administration regarding infiltration of foreign criminals.
  • Majumdar also said that under Mamata’s administration, DM and SP are failing to stop infiltration.

Arvind Kejriwal’s reaction

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also reacted on this issue.

  • Raising questions on the central government, he wrote on X (formerly Twitter),
    “Is the central government deliberately allowing infiltration from the Bangladesh border, or is it failing to protect the border?”
  • Kejriwal also accused BJP of using the issue politically.

Infiltration issue and state security

The issue of infiltration has become the center of political allegations and counter-allegations in West Bengal.

  • Mamata Banerjee has called it the responsibility of the Centre, while BJP considers it a failure of the TMC government.
  • There is constant tension between the two parties regarding infiltration and border security.
