Mamata government's anti-rape bill stuck, governor gives a big blow, know why the matter got worse? | News India

Aparajita Bill: The Mamata government introduced the anti-rape bill in the West Bengal Assembly on 3 September. After the bill was passed in the assembly, it was sent to the Governor. West Bengal Governor Anand Bose said that the Aparajita Bill is still pending because of the Mamata government. The Mamata government has not sent the technical report with the bill. Without the technical report, the Aparajita Bill cannot be approved. In a statement issued from the Raj Bhavan, it has been said that Governor Anand Bose is not happy with this attitude of the Mamata government. The Mamata government has not made any preparations regarding this bill related to women.

Mamata government has been doing this earlier also. Mamata government has not sent the technical report of many bills passed by the assembly to the Raj Bhavan. Due to which this bill gets pending. Later Mamata government blames the Raj Bhavan for this.

On September 3, Mamata government implemented anti-rape law

After the rape and murder of a female doctor in Kolkata's RG Kar Hospital, questions are being raised about the safety of women in the state. Protests were being held across the state regarding this matter. After which the state government introduced the Anti-Rape Bill in the West Bengal Assembly on 3 September.

According to this bill, the police will have to complete the investigation of the rape case within 21 days. After the bill was passed in the assembly, it was sent to the Governor. After being passed from there, the bill will be sent to the President. This bill can be converted into a law only after it is approved.

Mamata government targeted

Governor Anand Bose called this bill a copy of the bills of Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Arunachal Pradesh. He said that such bills are already pending with the President. Mamata is participating in dharna-demonstration to deceive the people.
