New Delhi, August 17 (HS). The Bharatiya Janata Party has attacked the Trinamool government on the incident of gang rape and murder of a female resident doctor at Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College and Hospital and has accused Mamata Banerjee of standing with the criminals. The BJP spokesperson said that instead of cracking down on gang rapists, the Mamata government is busy cracking down on those fighting for justice.

In a press conference held at the BJP headquarters on Saturday, spokesperson Shahzad Poonawala said that everyone in this country is angry and everyone is demanding the same thing that justice should be done. But instead of giving justice, the agenda of the Trinamool Congress government has become do not give justice, do not save daughters, only save the rapist. He said that TMC does not mean Trinamool Congress, it is 'Taliban I want'.

He said that instead of cracking down on the gang rapists of RG Kar Hospital, the Mamata government is busy cracking down on those fighting for justice. Mamata Banerjee is behaving like a real dictator Indira Gandhi or Kim. 43 doctors who raised their voice have been transferred with a 'Talibani fatwa'. Kolkata Police is sending notices to citizens and journalists who raise their voice and threatening them to remove posts from social media.

Shehzad Poonawala said that 5000 goons were sent to disrupt the peaceful march and vandalise the crime scene and destroy evidence at RG Kar Hospital. Meanwhile, those who say save the Constitution are taking a nap. This is happening even when the High Court is taking a tough stand on the Mamata government and the NCW is doing the same. The NCW inquiry committee has exposed lapses in security, infrastructure and investigation in the rape-murder case of a trainee doctor in Kolkata.
