Making Mahendra Bhatt a candidate is an honor for the common worker: Chief Minister Dhami

Dehradun, 15 February (HS). The Chief Minister said that the party has honored the common worker by giving an opportunity to a grassroots, hard-working, militant and popular worker like Mahendra Bhatt to go to Rajya Sabha.

BJP state president Mahendra Bhatt presented nomination papers in 4 sets in front of the election officer in the assembly for Rajya Sabha in the presence of state in-charge Dushyant Kumar Gautam and Chief Minister Dhami.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister expressed his gratitude to the central leadership including Prime Minister Modi and said that the representation of Mahendra Bhatt in Rajya Sabha is respected by every worker. He said that it will prove helpful in further improving the coordination between the Center and the State. Besides, he will become the voice of the regional people in the Upper House.

While talking to journalists, Chief Minister Dhami said that he along with his cabinet will soon go to Ayodhya for the darshan of Shri Ramlala. He told that earlier the program to have darshan of Shri Ram Lala in Ayodhya was fixed on February 2, but in view of the huge crowd of devotees in Ayodhya, the program has been changed and further program will be decided soon.

BJP State President Bhatt said that I will try 100 percent to live up to the trust that Prime Minister Modi, National President JP Nadda, CM Dhami and the entire central leadership have placed on me. As a Rajya Sabha MP, he is extremely impressed by Anil Baluni's local development policy and will work to take it forward. His priority will be to establish better coordination between the Center and the state and bring maximum schemes for the development of the state. Development plans, especially in the hills, should be implemented at a fast pace and the common people can avail their benefits till the border areas.

During this, Rajya Sabha MP Anil Baluni said that Bhatt's journey from booth level to state president is exemplary for every worker. By selecting him, the party leadership has created new enthusiasm and joy among all the hard-working and capable workers. He expressed confidence that he will make his best contribution in the Rajya Sabha for regional development and as a representative of the sentiments of the local people.
