Dehradun, September 18 (HS). Welham Girls School Dehradun has always been committed to spreading knowledge widely in the society. Welham Girls School has always played a special role in connecting the society through education. Under this unique initiative of knowledge enhancement, a Hindi workshop was organized in the school auditorium on Wednesday for the promotion of Hindi language on the occasion of Hindi fortnight under the joint aegis of Boarding School Association of India and Welham Girls School Dehradun.

The guide of the workshop, renowned grammarian, linguist and media studies expert Acharya Pandit Prithvinath Pandey, provided proper educational guidance to all the Hindi teachers. The main topic of the workshop was the importance of Hindi in creative teaching-learning-reading and writing. 55 enlightened Hindi teachers from Boarding School Association of India and government institutions participated in the workshop. Representatives from many states participated in this national educational event.

On this occasion, the Principal of the school, Vibha Kapoor, thanked all the guests and said that 'Welham Girls School always believes that positive changes can be brought in the society through education. In the field of education, the government and the private sector are working together to uplift the country and the language. This workshop is an important step in this direction. She said that no registration fee was kept for this workshop because it is the good fortune of the school that they are trying to organize such a workshop. In this, all of us together will be able to raise the level of Hindi language even higher.

Vinay Pandey, Training Head of Boarding School Association of India, Hindi teachers of schools affiliated to Boarding School Association of India, intellectuals of State Council of Educational Research and Training, Uttarakhand, Chief Spokesperson of DIET and representatives of various government educational institutions and other Hindi teachers were present in the workshop.

In the workshop, Acharya stressed on the necessity of correct oral and written form of language in teaching and learning. He also told the trainees about the correct usage of words and sentences, which are often used in daily life and educational work. At the end of the workshop, the Principal of the school honored the guide Acharya Prithvinath Pandey by giving him a memento along with a vote of thanks and provided certificates to all the participants.
