Make the students of the school aware of the environment and take their cooperation in tree plantation work.

Bettiah, June 29 (HS). A meeting of the district task force constituted for the ban of single-use plastic including Solid Waste Management Committee, District Clean Ganga Committee, Wetland Authority Committee, District Environment Committee was held in the office cell on Saturday under the chairmanship of District Magistrate of West Champaran district Dinesh Kumar Rai.

In the committee meeting, topics like solid waste management, tree plantation, Tarun Mitra-Eco Club, cleaning of rivers etc. were discussed. During this, the members of the committee expressed their views.

District Magistrate Dinesh Kumar Rai directed that various committees should take further action by strictly following the departmental guidelines. He directed that intensive tree plantation should be ensured in the district. Tree plantation should be done in a systematic manner so that any kind of construction work is not hindered later.

He instructed the District Education Officer to ensure that tree plantation work is done near the boundary walls of schools. In this work, the students of the school should be made aware of the environment and their cooperation should be taken in tree plantation work.
