Bhopal, September 13 (HS). Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that today's generation should be made aware of the contribution made by Rani Avantibai in the freedom struggle of the nation. For this, a framework should be prepared for organizing Rani Avantibai Lodhi Jayanti celebrations. Along with this, work should be done to make films on the life and works of Rani Avantibai, photo exhibitions, publication of comics, organizing seminars and discussion sessions, conducting essay and article writing competitions and publishing illustrated coffee table books in major languages.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was giving instructions to senior officials regarding the proposed organization of Rani Avantibai Jayanti celebrations in a meeting held at Sushasan Bhavan on Friday. He said that information about the Khand Kavya written by Srinivas Dwivedi on the life of Rani Avantibai and the research work and publications of Dr. Suresh Mishra should be provided to the students through educational institutions.
It is noteworthy that Rani Avantibai sacrificed her life for the nation at the age of 27. She sacrificed her life on 20 March 1858 while fighting the British. When her husband Raja Vikramaditya Singh was unwell, she took over the management of Ramgarh state and ended British control from her region. Rani Avantibai sacrificed her life while fighting with the British army which was many times more prosperous. It was told in the meeting that the work of Rani Avantibai Lodhi Udyan is being done in Mankedi Bargi of Jabalpur district. The construction of Veerangna Rani Avantibai Museum in Balpur of Dindori district is in the stage of completion.
Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Devda, Urban Development and Housing Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Prahlad Patel, School Education Minister Uday Pratap Singh, Minister of State for Culture and Tourism (Independent Charge) Dharmendra Singh Lodhi, Chief Secretary Veera Rana, Additional Chief Secretary in the Chief Minister's Office Dr. Rajesh Rajoura, Principal Secretary Culture Shivshekhar Shukla and other officials were present in the meeting.
