  • 2 cups poha
  • 1 large onion finely chopped
  • 1 tomato finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp peanuts
  • 1 tbsp mustard oil or refined
  • a small piece of grated ginger
  • half teaspoon mustard
  • 7-8 curry leaves
  • 1 pinch fennel
  • 2 green chillies
  • 1 whole red chilli
  • quarter teaspoon turmeric powder
  • quarter teaspoon red chili powder
  • quarter spoon coriander powder
  • a quarter teaspoon sugar
  • half lemon
  • salt to taste
  • finely chopped coriander

  • – First of all, clean the poha and keep it in a big steel strainer.
  • – Now wash the poha thoroughly by hand by placing a strainer under the tap.
  • After this, keep the sieve aside so that the excess water can drain out.
  • – Now place a pan or kadhai on the gas and add oil to it and heat it.
  • – Once the oil is hot, first fry the peanuts and take them out in a vessel.
  • After this, add mustard seeds in the pan and let it brown.
  • Then add curry leaves, green chillies, grated ginger, whole red chillies and a pinch of fennel.
  • – After a few minutes, add onion and fry everything in oil.
  • Do not turn the onion red, let it become transparent.
  • – Now add chopped tomatoes and melt some salt.
  • Then add turmeric, coriander powder and chilli powder and fry a little.
