Ingredients to make Carrot Halwa

  • 4 to 5 large carrots
  • 1/4 cup ghee
  • a cup of milk
  • half cup sugar
  • Half cup khoya (mawa)
  • 7 to 8 cashews (finely chopped)
  • 7 to 8 almonds (chopped)
  • 4 to 5 pistachios (finely chopped)
  • 8 to 10 raisins (washed)
  • 5 cardamoms (ground)

How to make Carrot Halwa

  • First of all, peel, wash and grate all the carrots.
  • – Now put a pan on the gas.
  • – After adding milk, add grated carrots to it and cook on medium flame.
  • Stir milk and carrots with a big spoon.
  • When all the water in the carrots dries up and the milk thickens and mixes well, add sugar and ghee to the carrots and mix well.
  • – After the sugar dissolves, let it absorb the water thoroughly.
  • After cooking the carrots, when all their water dries up, mash them and add khoya to it.
  • Then add cashews, almonds, pistachios, raisins and cardamom to the halwa and cook on medium flame while stirring with a spoon.
  • – Now turn off the gas.
  • – Garnish carrot halwa with dry fruits.
  • Delicious carrot halwa is ready.
