Ingredients for making Motichoor Laddu

For the boondi

  • 1 cup chickpea flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Desi Ghee for frying

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder

How to make Boondi

  • – Mix gram flour and water well and make a thick solution.
  • -Heat oil in a pan and add curd to desi ghee and make small holes with a mesh or spoon to make boondi.
  • Fry the boondi till it becomes golden and take it out in a plate.

How to make syrup

  • – Put sugar and water in a pan and place it on the gas.
  • After the sugar dissolves completely, add cardamom powder to it and make syrup.

How to make Laddu

  • – Add the fried boondi to the syrup and mix well.
  • Turn off the gas and keep stirring the mixture until all the syrup is absorbed into the boondi.
  • – Once the mixture cools down, apply some ghee on your hands and make small ladles.

Keep these things in mind while making laddus

  • Keep in mind that the color of boondi should not become dark while frying.
  • The correct thickness of the syrup is very important.
  • If the syrup is too thin then the laddus will break and if it is too thick then the laddus will become hard.
  • – Before making laddus, apply a little ghee on your hands so that laddus can be made easily.
