Ingredients of Vati Dal Khamna
- A bowl of gram lentils,
- Ginger,
- Green chilly,
- Turmeric,
- Curd,
- Oil,
- According to the sweet taste,
- Soda,
- Lemon juice,
- Rye,
- Asafoetida,
- Sugar,
- sweet neem leaves,
- Water,
- Coriander
How to make Vati Dal Khamna
- Wash a bowl of gram lentils with water and soak them for 4 hours
- – Now put the gram lentils in a mixer jar and grind them. It should become like a paste, add water as required. Leave it in a pan overnight for fermentation.
- – Now, add grated ginger, green chili paste, curd, oil, turmeric powder, and salt to this batter and mix well.
- – Now add baking soda and lemon juice to it and mix it to make the batter. Apply some oil in the dhokli dish and pour the batter in the dish.
- – Now steam the batter for 15 minutes and remove the dough from the dhokla and cut it into small square pieces.
- – Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, green chillies, asafoetida, sugar and sweet neem and pour the tempering over the khaman pieces. – Now garnish it with chopped fresh coriander and serve.
