Make everyone aware about plastic free Kumbh: DM

Prayagraj, 02 December (HS). District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar Mandan flagged off the scooty-bike rally organized by the Secondary Education Department at KP Ground on Monday as part of the awareness campaign for safe, clean and plastic-free organization of Maha Kumbh. DM said that this world class event in Prayagraj is a matter of pride for all of us. We are committed to making Maha Kumbh clean, safe and plastic free.

While addressing the rally, DM administered the cleanliness oath and said that spirituality and teachers complement each other. He said that I am very happy to join the teacher community. The knowledge, spirituality, dedication and spirit of service of the teachers in the Maha Kumbh organized on the banks of Triveni will definitely be successful in making this event grand, divine, safe, clean and plastic free. Our students will make people aware about plastic free Kumbh and are moving towards a clean Kumbh by explaining the harm caused by single use plastic. This is inspiring for all of us.

On this occasion, more than two thousand teachers, scout guides, basic education teachers from secondary schools of the district participated in the rally with their respective scooters and bikes. DIOS PN Singh, while welcoming everyone including the DM and Joint Magistrate, said that under the direction of the DM, a continuous public awareness campaign is being conducted through an action plan in the entire district.

In the programme, students of Jagat Taran Girls Inter College presented a welcome song and a short drama on the theme of Samudra Manthan. Conducted by Dr. Prabhakar Tripathi. Rally starting from KP Ground, Medical Square, Hanuman Mandir Square, Pathar Girja Square, Eklavya Square, AG Office Square, Maharana Pratap Square, Hindu Hostel Square, Indian Press Square, Maharishi Bhardwaj Square via Jagat Taran Girls Inter College, KP Inter College. Ended up in the field. ADIOS LB Maurya, Dr. BS Yadav, Sports Secretary Brijesh Srivastava and principals and teachers of government secondary schools of the district were present in the program. DIOS expressed his gratitude to everyone and appreciated everyone for enthusiastically participating in the rally.
