Make delicious muthia from boiled rice, try this recipe

Rice Muthiya Recipe: Everyone knows that a lot of rice is consumed in India. From children to adults, everyone loves rice. You can make many types of dishes with it. But most people like to eat plain rice. However, it often happens with women that whenever they make plain rice, it becomes more than required. In such a situation, you can also make another delicious dish from it.

Instead of wasting leftover rice, it would be better to make breakfast out of it. Instead of making dosa, kheer or pakoda, make Maharashtra's famous muthiya. Its taste is such that you will want to eat it again and again. So let's learn how you can make muthia from leftover rice.

Muthiya ingredients from grown rice

  • Cooked rice – 1 cup
  • Gram flour – half cup
  • Semolina (Rava) – 2 tbsp
  • Wheat flour – 1 cup
  • Green chilli – 2 finely chopped
  • Ginger – 1 inch piece
  • Cumin – half teaspoon
  • Fresh coriander – 2 tbsp
  • Sesame seeds – 1 tablespoon
  • Baking soda – 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
  • Red chilli powder – half teaspoon
  • Coriander powder- half teaspoon
  • Salt – as per taste
  • Oil- 2 tbsp
  • Lemon juice – 1 tablespoon

How to make muthia from sprouted rice

  • First of all, prepare the ingredients mentioned above.
  • Put the cooked rice in a large bowl. Then add gram flour, wheat flour, rava, finely chopped green chillies, grated ginger, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, salt and green coriander.
  • -Knead the dough by adding water little by little. The dough should be soft and slightly sticky.
  • – Now preheat a steamer. Oil a steamer plate, place a fist and steam for 15-20 minutes.
  • When the muthiyas are cooked, take them out and let them cool.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin and sesame seeds and fry. – Now add a piece of muthia and fry until it becomes light golden.
  • Your leftover rice muthiya is ready, serve it with coriander chutney or tomato chutney.
