Major rail accident in Palamu, 12 coaches of goods train derailed; 6 trains including one express affected


A big and worrying news is coming out from Palamu district of Jharkhand. A horrific railway accident has taken place in Palamu area, where 12 coaches of a goods train suddenly derailed and crashed. After this horrific accident, the railway track has been completely blocked, due to which the rail traffic system has collapsed. Due to this accident, the operation of a total of 6 trains including an important express train passing through this route has been directly affected, due to which the passengers are facing a lot of problems.

How did the accident happen and the relief and rescue work done on the spot?

According to initial information received, the incident occurred on the railway section near Palamu when the goods train was going towards its destination. Suddenly, with a loud noise, 12 coaches of the goods train one after the other derailed and collided with each other and scattered. Fortunately, there is no report of any major loss of life or property in this accident, but the railway dhaba has suffered huge damage due to severe uprooting of the tracks. As soon as the information about the accident was received, senior railway officials, local administration and railway recovery van teams immediately reached the spot and the work of repairing the track has been started on a war footing.
