Jammu and Kashmir News : At a time when the Amarnath Yatra has begun in Jammu and Kashmir, an attempt has been made to spoil the atmosphere by vandalising a temple in Reasi. Three suspects have been detained in this incident. The situation is currently under control. On the other hand, the NIA has raided more than five places in connection with the terrorist attack in Reasi and has also started investigating the seized items.
As the traditional Amarnath Yatra has begun in Jammu and Kashmir from Saturday, efforts have been made to create a harmonious atmosphere between Hindus and Muslims in the Union Territory. Some unidentified people vandalised a temple in Jammu and Kashmir's Raisi district on Sunday. Angry local Hindus and Muslims protested against the incident.
Reasi ASP Mohita Iftekhar said that this temple is located in Dharamdi area. The temple was vandalized. Tension spread over the incident and the police formed an SIT and arrested 12 people, while Special Deputy Commissioner of Police Paul Mahajan assured the protesters of strict action against the culprits. The police is investigating by registering an FIR against unknown people. After the vandalism in the temple, the local people protesting said that this vandalism has been done to break the centuries-old brotherhood in the district and to destabilize the atmosphere at the local level, but we will not tolerate any attempt to hinder Hindu-Muslim brotherhood by damaging development works.
Meanwhile, the National Investigation Agency (NIA), which is investigating the terrorist attack on a bus of devotees going to Shiv Khera in Reasi, conducted raids and searches at five places on Sunday. Apart from this, the NIA has also examined the seized items. The NIA has started investigating the case after the order of the Home Ministry on June 15. The NIA searched five places related to hybrid terrorists and underground workers.
Reasi SSP Mohita Sharma said that the NIA raid was conducted based on information provided by Hakam Khan alias Hakim Din in Rajouri. Hakim Din used to provide shelter to terrorists as well as goods and livelihood. Hakim Din was arrested on June 19. He is a member of a terrorist organization. He was given Rs. 6,000 for sheltering terrorists.
