Islamabad, 31 October (HIST). Pakistan's army suffered major losses in the encounter with terrorists in Pakistan's restive province Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. A Major and two soldiers lost their lives in this encounter. The encounter took place in Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
This information was given in the news of Pakistan's leading newspaper Dawn on the basis of the release of Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR). This encounter took place on Wednesday. The release said that security forces launched a cordon and cordon operation at Bakka Khel in Bannu district on information about the presence of terrorists in the area. During this period, eight people were killed and seven others were injured in the firing from both sides. These include Major Atif Khalil (31), Naik Azad Ullah (36) and Lance Naik Ghazanfar Abbas (35).
