Yogi Adityanath government has taken a very important and big step regarding the education system of Uttar Pradesh and the training institutes that prepare future teachers. With the aim of improving the level of school education in the state and bringing transparency and speed in the functioning of educational institutions, the Basic Education Department has made a major administrative reshuffle. Under this, new principals have been appointed on the basis of seniority in total 17 District Education and Training Institutes i.e. DIET of Uttar Pradesh and they have been given the charge of this post. Along with this, to ensure that there is no obstruction of any kind in the administrative work, three other officers in the DIET of Etah, Etawah and Mau districts have been given the responsibility of additional charge. This visionary decision of the government will not only strengthen the teacher training programmes, but will also provide a new direction and effective leadership to the educational training campaigns going on in the remote districts of the state.
Instructions issued to SCERT Director, charge given on the basis of seniority order
As part of this entire administrative process, Yatindra Kumar, Special Secretary, Basic Education Department, has issued an official letter to the Director of State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Uttar Pradesh. Clear instructions have been given in this letter that senior lecturers working in 17 District Education and Training Institutes (DIET) located in different districts of the state should be handed over the charge of the post of Principal with immediate effect on the basis of their seniority. This entire matter was being discussed at the government level for a long time and only after due consideration it has been decided that the operation of these institutions should continue smoothly without any hindrance. Director SCERT has also been directed to complete all the necessary legal and administrative formalities related to the appointment of the concerned senior lecturers on time, so that the academic session is not affected.

Education experts have always believed that the foundation of school education in any state cannot be strong unless the institutions that prepare teachers are in excellent condition. DIET i.e. District Institute of Education and Training is considered to be the most important and main link of the entire teacher training system of Uttar Pradesh. These institutions play the biggest role in equipping teachers teaching in primary and upper primary schools with modern teaching methods, developing their skills, providing academic support and effectively implementing new innovations in school education. Assigning charge to senior lecturers on leadership positions which have been vacant for a long time in such premier institutions will speed up the functioning of these institutions and provide a strong foundation to the entire educational system institutionally.
Know which senior spokespersons in the DIET of 17 districts have been given the command of the post of Principal.
According to the order issued by the government, many experienced educationists are included in the diet of 17 major districts of Uttar Pradesh where senior spokespersons have been given the important responsibility of the post of Principal. According to this list, Rajesh Kumar Singh has been given the responsibility of Bahraich Diet, Ram Pratap Singh Koshrawasti Diet, Vinod Kumar of Hamirpur Diet, Muktesh Kumar of Firozabad Diet, Sanjay Kumar of Farrukhabad Diet, Nawab Verma of Hathras Diet, Deepak Srivastava of Lalitpur Diet, Ashwani Pratap Singh of Jalaun Diet and Vishwadeepak Tripathi has been given the responsibility of Chandauli Diet. Apart from this, Vimlesh Kumar Tripathi (Mirzapur), Ms. Riddhi Pandey (Sonbhadra), Sunil Kumar (Ballia), Kuldeep Narayan Singh (Deoria), Dinanath (Kushinagar), Narendra Singh (Santkabir Nagar), Ashish Chauhan (Shahjahanpur) and Nandit Kumar (Jhansi) have also got the charge of the post of Principal in their respective DIET institutions.
Three senior officers have been assigned special additional charge in the diets of Etah, Etawah and Mau.
Apart from the main 17 districts, arrangements have been made to give additional charges in three other important districts to run the administrative and educational works without any hindrance. According to the instructions issued by the government, Aaradhya Upadhyay, who is working as a senior spokesperson in DIET Aligarh, has been instructed to hold the additional charge of the post of Principal of DIET Etah. Along with this, Atul Kumar Singh, who is currently serving as District School Inspector (DIOS) of Etawah, has been given additional charge of DIET Etawah. Apart from this, Atul Kumar Tiwari, who is holding the post of Senior Spokesperson in DIET Mau, has been asked to complete all the necessary administrative formalities for being given the additional charge of the post of Principal of DIET Mau. With these appointments, it has been decided that the work of training future teachers in every district of the state will continue with full energy.
