Kathua 26 November (Hindus). As part of the ongoing campaign against illegal mining, District Mineral Officer Kathua has seized 11 dumpers including 02 heavy Poklanes in separate raids.
According to the information, during the raids conducted at various places by other officials of Mining Department Kathua under the leadership of District Mineral Officer Kathua Naveen Kumar, 11 dumpers including 02 heavy Poklanes were seized. The first action was taken at Kotpunnu in Kathua where a tipper with 02 heavy Poklane excavation machines was found involved in illegal extraction of minor minerals in Ujj river which was seized on the spot. The said excavators and tippers were handed over to police post Kotpunu. Similarly, the second action was taken in Ravi Padi where 10 tippers involved in illegal mining were seized which were found transporting minor minerals in Ravi river without e-challan. The said tippers were handed over to police station Bhagthali.
DMO Kathua said that this action was taken in accordance with the instructions given by Kathua Deputy Commissioner Dr. Rakesh Minhas and Director of Geology and Mining Department, Jammu and Kashmir, Puneet Sharma, regarding effective enforcement of the provisions of the MM (D&R) Act 1957 and the rules made thereunder. is in accordance with.
