Major action by CRPF in Manipur, 10 Kuki militants who came to burn police station killed

Manipur violence: Security forces in Manipur on Monday killed at least 10 armed Kuki militants in a major operation. These extremists had come to attack the police station in Boro Bekara of Jiribam district. According to sources, at around 3.30 pm on Monday, Kuki extremists attacked the CRPF camp at Borobekara in Jiribam.

Responding to the attack by Kuki terrorists, CRPF also retaliated and killed at least 10 Kuki terrorists in the encounter. A CRPF jawan was also seriously injured in this operation. 4 SLRs (Self Loaded Rifles), 3 AK-47s, one RPG (Rocket-Propelled Grenade) and other arms and ammunition have been recovered from the slain Kuki extremists.

Houses were set on fire, police station attacked

Armed extremists from the Kuki-Hamar community set fire to several houses and at 2:30 pm attacked the Borobekara police station in Jiribam district and fired several rounds. In a related incident, three to four vacant houses of Meitei community were set on fire by unknown elements in Jakuradhor under Borobekara police station jurisdiction. They are also suspected to be from the Kuki-Hamar community. Jakuradhor Karong is located about 100 meters from Borobekara Police Station.

Clash between militants in the presence of police

CRPF, Assam Rifles and Manipur Police personnel were deployed at Borobekara police station. In front of which these deceitful militants set fire to the houses near the police station. The security forces kept watching helplessly as mute spectators. However, when they attacked the police station they retaliated and killed 10 terrorists.
