A horrific road accident took place in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday. A taxi fell into a ditch near Ramban on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, killing 10 people in it. According to local reports, the taxi was carrying passengers from Jammu to Srinagar when it met with an accident and fell into a ditch. The accident occurred near Battery Chashma in Ramban area on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. The taxi full of passengers fell into a deep ditch. As soon as the local administration got information about the incident, police, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and Civilian Quick Response Team (QRT) from Ramban reached the spot. The team immediately descended into the ditch and started the rescue operation and pulled out the bodies of the people. Rescue operation started in the morning. According to the information received, bodies of 10 people have been found so far. recovered Have gone. However, deep ravines, darkness and continuous rain in the area make rescue operations challenging. Meanwhile, information has also come to light that the relief work has been stopped for some time. The biggest problem in the rescue operation is rain, due to which the rescue workers are facing a lot of trouble.

According to the police, the accident happened in the early hours of Friday as they received information about the accident around 1.15 am. Police said that Taveera Taxi was going to Kashmir with passengers in the car but suddenly an unpleasant incident happened on the way. A taxi fell into a 300 meter deep gorge on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. The bodies recovered so far have been taken to the hospital and preparations are being made to inform the families. Union Minister Jitendra Singh has expressed grief over the accident in Ramban. He said that he has spoken to DC Ramban Bashir-ul-Haq regarding this painful road accident.
