A major road accident has occurred in Manali, Himachal Pradesh. A traveler carrying tourists has become a victim of an accident here. One tourist died in this accident, while about 18 people are said to be injured. The injured have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. Manali Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) KD Sharma has confirmed this accident.

Manali DSP KD Sharma said that the people traveling in the tourist vehicle were residents of Mumbai. He told that this accident happened due to the driver losing control of the vehicle near the bridge near Atal Tunnel Rohtang Pass. He said that there were a total of 21 tourists in the vehicle, including the driver, out of which 18 were injured and 1 died due to the injuries.
The officer further said that the injured have been sent to a local hospital in Manali. The Atal Tunnel connects the Solang Valley near Manali to Sisu in Lahaul and Spiti districts. It was fortunate that the bus was saved from falling into the ditch after going out of control, due to which a major accident was averted. Police say that the matter is being investigated.
