Along with this, detailed interrogation of the organizers and the trolley driver is also being done.

Security Advisory for Festival Committees and Boards

Following this heart-wrenching incident, various public Ganeshotsav coordination committees and civic administration of Mumbai have appealed to all the circles to exercise utmost caution while transporting heavy and tall idols:

  • Pre-Inspection of Route: Before taking the statue, the entire road, potholes on the roads, hanging branches of trees and overhead electric wires should be surveyed in advance.

  • Secure Locking System: The statue should be completely stabilized on hydraulic trolleys or vehicles with strong steel cables and locking clamps.

  • Proper distance in procession: While carrying the huge statue, the general public and workers should be instructed to maintain a certain safe distance from the moving vehicle.
