A major explosion occurred in a brick kiln in Gopalganj, Bihar on Wednesday evening. 12 people have been injured due to cylinder explosion here. Two children are also among the injured. Five seriously injured laborers have been referred to Patna. The remaining treatment is going on in Gopalganj itself.
Big news has come out from Gopalganj in Bihar. On the first day of the new year, a cylinder exploded in a brick kiln here. Due to which 12 laborers including two children working there were injured. Everyone was taken to Gopalganj Hospital. Five laborers suffered serious burn injuries in the accident, who have been referred to Patna. At present the police is busy investigating the matter. The laborers injured in the accident include Chhotu Ram (30), Nitin Kumar (8), Ankit Kumar (3), Ajay Ram (40), Sushil Kumar (40) and Sushil Singh (8) and others. Everyone was treated at the local CHC.
The doctor on duty said that five laborers burnt in the fire have been referred to Patna. The people burnt in the fire suffered sixty to ninety percent burns. The injured workers told that food was being cooked in the cancer-like room. All the laborers and children were warming themselves by burning wood bonfire nearby. Meanwhile, a fire broke out due to the explosion of the cylinder. Due to which everyone got burnt.
The sound of the explosion reached several kilometers
After the cylinder burst, a loud bang was heard for several kilometers. Local villagers took the injured laborers to the hospital using tractor trolley and bike. Police Station Head Sandeep Kumar said that a dozen laborers and children got burnt due to the explosion of a gas cylinder in the brick kiln. The case is being investigated.
