Maithili professors of BNMU played an important role in the Maithili translation of the Indian Constitution.

Saharsa, 27 November (Hindustan Reporter). A workshop on translation of the Constitution of India into Maithili language was also organized under the joint aegis of the Institute of Indian Languages, Mysore, at the PG Center, Post Graduate Maithili Department, Western Campus, BNMU Madhepura. In this important role, senior teachers of PG Center Saharsa, Prof. Dr. Ranjit Kumar Singh, Prof. Dr. Sanjay Kumar Mishra, Dr. Raman Kant Choudhary, Dr. Arun Kumar Singh, Dr. Suman Kumar of MLT College Saharsa, RJM College in the extended form of mother tongue. Dr. Abhay Kumar of K, Dr. Krishna Mohan Thakur of PG Center Madhepura, Dr. Atuleshwar Jha of HVS College Nirmali, Dr. Nikki Priyadarshini of Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya Mahishi always contributed. Will be remembered.

Under the guidance of Dr. Shambhu Kumar Singh, a language literature representative from Mysore, the translation of the Constitution of India into Maithili language was completed by all the above mentioned respected scholar teachers. On the occasion of Constitution Day on 26th November, “Indian Constitution” was inaugurated by His Excellency President Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with the Vice President, Lok Sabha Speaker, Leader of Opposition and other dignitaries present.

On this historic moment, retired professors of Maithili department Prof. Dr. Ram Naresh Singh, Dr. Kulanand Jha, Principals Prof. Dr. Pawan Kumar, Dr. Vimal Kumar Singh, Dr. Nunu Mani Singh, Dr. Ganesh Mishra, Dr. Balveer Kumar Jha, Dr. Geeta Kumari, Dr. Prashant. Kumar Manoj, Dr. Leena Singh, Dr. Akhilesh Jha, Satya Prakash, Ram Narayan Thakur have expressed happiness over the progressive progress of the mother tongue Maithili.
