New Delhi: Thar SUV has been a game changer for Mahindra. The brand is preparing to launch the 5-door version of Thar in the Indian market, but just before that the company has introduced a new version of 3-door Thar.
What is special in Mahindra Thar Earth Edition?
The company has named it Mahindra Thar Earth Edition and it will be available in petrol as well as diesel engines. Transmission options include manual and automatic gearboxes. Mahindra has made only a few cosmetic changes in it, which make the Thar Earth Edition different.

The exterior gets a new satin matte color with Earth Edition badges, which Mahindra calls Desert Fury. The grille on the ORVMs now gets body color accents. Desert-themed decals and alloy wheels with Thar branding inserts are also offered. Apart from this, Mahindra and Thar wordmarks are in matte black color. The 4×4 and automatic badges are now matte black with red paint.

The interior gets a VIN plate on the dashboard. The leatherette seats, beige stitching and Earth branding on the seats give the cabin a more premium look and the headrests get a tuned design. Door pads are ready in Desert Fury. Apart from this, it has dual-tone AC vents, thematic insert on the steering wheel, piano black and dark chrome for the gear knob, HVAC housing on the steering wheel, Twin Peaks logo on the center gear console, cup holder.
