Dehradun, June 18 (HS). Uttarakhand State President of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Mahendra Bhatt has claimed to have created history by winning both the assembly by-election seats with record votes. Bhatt hit back at Congress and said that everyone becomes our own after joining BJP, but Congress turns even its own people into strangers.
State President Mahendra Bhatt was talking informally to the media here on Tuesday. Claiming that the lotus will bloom in Badrinath and Mangalore assembly seats, he said that the public is sure to stamp the lotus for the development of their area, because the balloon of lies about the Indy alliance coming to power has burst. He said that the results of the Lok Sabha elections have once again proved that there is no alternative to the BJP in Devbhoomi. The opposition tried to establish the notion in the general elections that their government is going to come to power in the country, but after the public's decision, it has become crystal clear that the public is very happy with the development work under Modi's guidance and Dhami's leadership. He claimed that in the by-elections, no voter is going to waste his precious vote for the opposition.
Describing the allegations of being an outsider candidate as an annoyance, he said that the issueless, thoughtless and organisationless Congress does not find any strong candidate anywhere inside or outside the party. As far as the BJP is concerned, our party accepts all the people who come to it equally. Hence, here capable and strong candidates are promoted without any discrimination.
He said that on Badrinath seat we have Rajendra Bhandari as the outgoing MLA, hence the people there will vote for taking forward the development works in the double engine government. Regarding Mangalore seat, he said that for the first time after the formation of the state, he is going to create history by winning this seat. The people of Mangalore want development of the area, hence the rumour of the opposition forming the government this time is also not going to work. Congress's strategy of spreading confusion in the Lok Sabha elections has also failed, hence we are going to win both the seats of these by-elections with a huge majority.
