Dehradun, 18 May (HS). Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president Mahendra Bhatt said that the party is moving ahead with the aim of victory and increase in vote percentage in the upcoming corporation elections. In this sequence, State President Mahendra Bhatt has participated in many important meetings of the organization including increasing the vote percentage and voters during the Kumaon tour. In view of the Lok Sabha elections, he is also going to leave for Himachal campaign soon.
BJP President Mahendra Bhatt gave information about his Kumaon tour while talking to journalists at the party headquarters. He told that in seven days he had discussions with party officials and workers in 35 civic bodies and participated in various programs organized in view of the election preparations of the civic bodies and corporations. He clarified that the party's focus during this period was to ensure maximum participation of people in voting. For this, there has been a detailed discussion about giving active support to the campaign which will run till May 20 to improve the voter list.
Candidates will be selected on the basis of opinion poll and survey among workers.
Mahendra Bhatt said that the BJP body is fully prepared for the elections, hence as soon as the dates are announced by the Election Commission, the implementation of further strategy will also start. Preparations are complete at the organizational level and with the announcement of elections, the process of selection of candidates will also begin. For which observers will be sent to the districts and a list of people willing to stake claim will be made. The party will select the candidates on the basis of public survey along with opinion poll of local workers and officials on these names.
He clarified that we are moving ahead with the aim of bringing record improvement in the past civic results. Having won 6 out of 8 corporations in the last elections, this time BJP is going to campaign on all corporation seats and municipalities.
Mahendra Bhatt will go to Himachal for campaign from 21st-
Mahendra Bhatt told that a team of workers and officials has gone to UP, Himachal, Haryana, Delhi, Orissa. He himself is going to campaign in Himachal from May 21 as per the instructions of the central leadership. Under which he will campaign in favor of the party candidates by participating in various election programs on all the 04 seats there.
Seeing the better arrangements, devotees are coming in large numbers
Answering the opposition's questions, Mahendra Bhatt said that a record number of pilgrims are coming to Devbhoomi only after seeing the better arrangements. Devotees have experienced successful and safe journey continuously for the past years. This is the reason why many times more pilgrims than expected are heading to Uttarakhand. Regarding travel management, the government has already fixed the system and is working continuously as per the decided strategy. Chief Minister Dhami himself has been meeting people at Ground Zero for three days and listening to their problems and giving necessary instructions. Crowd management is always a challenge due to the large number of devotees coming in the initial days. As the journey progresses, some practical problems that may be arising will also end.
