Dehradun, August 11 (HS). State President of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Mahendra Bhatt expressed grief over the attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh and said that the silence of the hypocritical supporters of human rights on this issue is shameful.

State President Mahendra Bhatt said that the formation of a high level committee for the protection of minorities is welcomed. Raising serious questions on the silence of the opposition, he said that those who cry for the human rights of Muslim infiltrators are not uttering a single word for the suffering of Hindus. BJP workers, along with the people of Devbhoomi, pray to God for the protection of Bangladeshi minorities. He said that the minority Hindus of Bangladesh are bearing the brunt of the change of power the most. Under the guise of political revenge, Muslim fundamentalists led by Jamaat-e-Islami are hell-bent on destroying 1.40 crore Hindus. All this is extremely unfortunate and inhuman, regarding which the Government of India has expressed concern to the newly elected Prime Minister and responsible representatives through appropriate means.

He said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah has constituted a committee in view of the situation in Bangladesh. This committee will maintain dialogue with its counterparts in Bangladesh to ensure the safety of Indian citizens, Hindus and other minority communities living there. He expressed confidence that the Modi government will take whatever steps are necessary in this regard.

However, he has also raised serious questions on the silence of the opposition leaders in this regard. He said, those who plead for the human rights of millions of Bangladeshi and Rohingya intruders who have entered the country illegally, who start shouting against the action taken against them, but not a single word is coming out of their tongue for the suffering Bangladeshi Hindus. Not only this, the Congress leaders living in Devbhoomi, who till yesterday were taking out political yatras to save the reputation of Sanatan. Now not a single voice is being raised from their side for the Hindu brothers and sisters who are victims of religious anarchy. He said that like the country, the people of the state have also recognized this double-faced politics very well. BJP, along with the people of the state, prays to God for the safety of all minorities including Hindus living in Bangladesh.
