Dehradun, July 03 (HS). BJP state president Mahendra Bhatt started his first address to Rajya Sabha as an MP by paying tribute to the state formation movement and those who sacrificed their lives on the borders of the country. During this, he said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave development to the state and we gave him five lotus flowers as a gift in the Lok Sabha elections.
Speaking on the motion of thanks on the President's address, Mahendra Bhatt said that I come from the holy land of Uttarakhand which is the land of Baba Badri-Kedar and Maa Ganga-Yamuna. He said that the way development work has been done under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi along with change and prosperity in the lives of the countrymen, Uttarakhand has also not remained untouched by it. Seeing the all-round development of the state in the last 10 years, the people here have expressed their gratitude to Prime Minister Modi by making lotus bloom on all five Lok Sabha seats.
He said that Prime Minister Modi has worked to connect a geographically inaccessible, extremely backward and foreign border state like Uttarakhand to the mainstream of the country. The result of the efforts of the double engine government is that every house in the state has a cooking gas stove, every house and village is being illuminated by the Saubhagya Yojana and every house has an electricity connection. The health of the public is being taken care of with the record 55 lakh Ayushman cards made under the Atal Ayushman Yojana. The all-weather road is proving to be a boon for the state. The central government has approved several development schemes for the rejuvenation of Shri Badri-Kedar Dham and Gangotri-Yamunotri Dham. Similarly, the Manaskhand Mandir Mala Yojana, connecting every village and reducing the distance of the state from Delhi, ropeway and air connectivity, etc., many such schemes have worked to bring positive change and prosperity in the lives of the people of the state.
