Bhagalpur, 20 April (HS). The birth anniversary of Mahavir Swami was celebrated by the brothers and sisters on Saturday in the Vandana Auditorium of Puranmal Savitri Devi Bajoria Saraswati Shishu Mandir, Narga Kothi. The program was started by school in-charge Principal Mamta Jaiswal and Shishu Bharati President Shashwat Saurabh by lighting the lamp and offering flowers on the picture of Mahavir Swami.
On the occasion, Mamta Jaiswal said that Mahavir Swami's birth anniversary is on 21st April. But since it is Sunday, it is being celebrated by brothers and sisters on the eve. Brothers and sisters should take inspiration from the life and teachings of Mahavir Swami and follow the right path in life. Non-violence is the greatest religion of a person. Every soul is omniscient and blissful in itself. One should have compassion towards all living beings. Every person can achieve divinity by making supreme efforts in the right direction. The real enemy is within the person and that is anger, pride, greed, attachment and hatred. To overcome these enemies within us is to follow the message of Mahavir Swami.
Today, on the occasion of the birth anniversary, an English calligraphy competition was organized among the brothers and sisters, in which the brothers and sisters who secured first, second and third position in classes Arun to Panchak will be honored with certificates and medals the next day. Manoj Tiwari, Shashi Bhushan Mishra, Abhijeet Acharya, Amar Jyoti, Abhash Kumar, Gopal Singh, Shashikant Gupta, Subodh Thakur, Supriya Kumari, Kavita Pathak, Lalit Jha and Renu Kumari were present on this occasion.
