Beginning of controversy: Karni Sena’s challenge

State General Secretary of Karni Sena Abhinav Singh Had released a video and openly challenged Chandrashekhar Azad.

Threat: Abhinav Singh had said that “Chandrashekhar will not be allowed to set foot on the land of Barabanki. He will definitely come back on his feet, but will not be able to get back on his feet.”

Blame: Karni Sena alleged that Chandrashekhar makes objectionable remarks on Hindu deities and spews venom against the upper caste society.

Chandrashekhar Azad’s ‘Leather and Shoe’ statement

Chandrashekhar Azad, who reached Barabanki with heavy security and a crowd of supporters amidst threats, responded in a very aggressive manner by pointing towards his shoes from the stage:

“I today leather slippers I have come wearing it. Some people are saying that they will break their legs and will not allow entry. I want to tell them that we Know how to strip leather and also know how to make shoes out of it.. And when the time comes, we also know how to hit the same shoe on the head.”

He further said that he is a person who believes in the Constitution and the law, but that does not mean that he will be afraid of someone’s hooliganism. He also claimed that an attempt was made to throw stones at his convoy, which is a slap on the law and order of UP.

Key points of the rally:

Bhim Army’s show of strength: After the threat from Karni Sena, Bhim Army workers had reached the rally in large numbers with sticks.

Constitutional way: Despite the sharp attitude, Chandrashekhar appealed to his supporters not to be instigated by anyone and not to adopt violence or unconstitutional path.

Political message: Chandrashekhar clarified that the doors of his alliance are open to everyone (except BJP) for the 2027 assembly elections.
