West Champaran (Bagaha), 16 December (HS). Till now the statue of Maharishi Valmiki was not installed in Gol Chowk, the heart of Valmiki Nagar, the place of tapasya of Maharishi Valmiki. Every day, hundreds of domestic and foreign tourists come to visit Valmiki Nagar on the sacred land of Valmiki and visit the Maharishi Valmiki Ashram situated on the India-Nepal border with its natural beauty. Now they will be able to take advantage of the darshan of Maharishi Valmiki. Following the long awaited demand of the devotees and devotees, on the initiative of young MLA of Valmiki Nagar Dhirendra Pratap Singh alias Rinku Singh, after the renovation of the dilapidated Gol Chowk Golambar, today the 5 feet high statue of Maharishi Valmiki brought from Ayodhya was placed on a high platform. The very heavy idol was placed on the platform with great efforts of the devotees. CM will unveil the statue.
In this context, JDU Block Vice President Laddu Sharma alias Brijesh Sharma said that courtesy of Valmiki Nagar MLA Dhirendra Pratap Singh alias Rinku Singh, the statue of Maharishi Valmiki is going to be installed in Valmiki Nagar, which was till now bereft of Valmiki’s statue.
Soon the statue will be unveiled by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar as per law. The statue has been brought from Shri Ram Kala Kendra in Ayodhya. This statue is made of white marble. On this occasion, dozens of devotees and villagers including Laddu Sharma alias Brijesh Sharma, Mithun Kumar Anand Kumar Singh Monu Singh Dhruv Yadav, Ranjan Kumar Ravindra Yadav, teacher Santosh Rauniyar Suraj Patel etc. were present.
