Mumbai, 26 October (Hindustan Reporter). Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday released the second list of 22 candidates for Maharashtra Assembly. Earlier, BJP had released the first list of 99 candidates. Thus far, BJP has announced a total of 121 candidates in Maharashtra. BJP has expressed confidence in many sitting MLAs in this assembly election, and has also given place to new faces in its list.
BJP has not named any seat in Mumbai in the second list. In Pune, BJP has once again given a chance to the three old faces. Outgoing MLA Bhimrao Tapkir has been made the candidate from Khadakwasla assembly constituency. Similarly, outgoing MLA Sunil Kamble has been declared a candidate again from Pune Cantonment assembly constituency. Hemant Rasane has been given a chance from Kasba assembly constituency. Hemant Raas had contested the by-election against Ravindra Dhangekar of Congress. He was defeated in this. Even after this the party has expressed confidence in Hemant Rasane. Nashik's Devyani Farande has got a chance in the second list of BJP. Farande is an outgoing MLA. Similarly, in Sangli district, the candidature of Legislative Council MLA Gopichand Padalkar from Jat has been announced. Padalkar is a supporter of Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. However, the name of Ram Satpute from Solapur is not even in the second list. BJP has again given tickets to many sitting MLAs. Ravindra Patil (Raviseth Patil) has been declared the candidate from Pen. In this way BJP has released the list of 22 candidates today.
