New Delhi, 21 October (Hindustan Reporter). The tussle continues between the leaders of the Indi alliance over seat distribution for the Maharashtra Assembly elections. No consensus has been reached between them yet. However, the leaders who reached Delhi from Mumbai, while talking to the media in Delhi on Monday, expressed hope that a decision regarding seat distribution will be taken today.

Leader of Opposition in Maharashtra Assembly and Congress MLA Vijay Wadettiwar, who reached Delhi from Mumbai on the issue of seat sharing, said that a decision will be taken on 17 seats by Tuesday evening. He said that there is a problem on 6-7 seats in Vidarbha, which will be resolved. He said that since there are three parties sharing 288 seats, it is taking some time.

Congress leader Balasaheb Thorat said that the candidature of ticket contenders is being screened today. Congress executive meeting is also going to be held. It will happen soon. Maharashtra Congress chief Nana Patole said that he will declare the first list tomorrow after talking to the leaders of his allies on 30-40 seats.

Former Congress MP and Congress leader Sandeep Dixit said that many basic things have already been agreed upon in the Indi alliance. Due to the democratic process in Congress and especially in many parties of the Indian alliance, if the national leadership thinks something, then the state leadership also has the credibility and the people of the district also have the credibility. We listen to our leaders and do not impose orders on them from above.
