Prayagraj, 16 December (HS). The Yogi government is working on a war footing to make the Mahakumbh, which is going to be organized in January on the banks of Triveni in Tirtharaj Prayag, divine, grand and safe. This great gathering of faith and spirituality is also becoming a source of livelihood for millions of people. Mahakumbh has given new opportunities to increase the livelihood of rural women of the villages falling under Mahakumbh Nagar.
Mahakumbh, which is going to be held on the banks of Sangam between January 13 and February 26, has become a source of livelihood for more than 15 thousand women. It will also provide livelihood opportunities to the people doing small jobs along with big industries like hotel, travel and tenting, food etc. Used to be. This Maha Kumbh has provided a source of livelihood for more than 15 thousand women of families engaged in animal husbandry related work in 67 villages falling under the temporary district created by the name Maha Kumbh Nagar. These days, a new market for cow dung cakes, the traditional form of fuel, has started developing in many villages situated on the banks of Ganga and Yamuna. In these villages, a large number of cow dung cakes have come up on the banks of the river. These days, in villages, local women are busy all day in making cow dung cakes.
-Orders are being received for the construction of uplas and chulhas. Savitri of Hetapatti village says that for the last one month, the organizations organizing their camps in Mahakumbh have been placing orders for supplying them. Seema of the same village starts preparing earthen stoves from early morning along with the women who are usually free from their homes. Seema tells that the food of the devotees who come to Maha Kumbh for Kalpavas is prepared on these stoves. For this, till now he has received orders to prepare seven thousand earthen stoves.
Demand increased due to ban on heaters and small LPG cylinders in camps. According to the Mela administration, more than ten thousand institutions will be organized in Mahakumbh this time. More than seven lakh Kalpavasis will also get a place in it. Big institutions and arenas in the fair area use large cylinders of cooking gas because they have to feed lakhs of people every day. But, Dharmacharya, Sadhu Saint and Kalpavasi still cook food in their old system. Due to the use of heaters and small gas cylinders being found to be a major cause of fire incidents at some places, the fair administration has banned the use of heaters and small gas cylinders in the camps.
Due to this new arrangement, the demand for the hand-made cakes and earthen stoves of these village women has increased. Tirtha priest Sankata Tiwari says that most of the Kalpavasis stay at the places of pilgrimage priests. In such a situation, their first priority is purity and tradition, for this they prefer to cook food made of cow dung cakes on earthen stoves.
