Today is World Tourism Day. Uttar Pradesh is one of the major states of India from the point of view of tourists. The state has many tourist destinations including Kashi, Ayodhya and Taj Mahal which attract tourists from all over the world including India. Today Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has greeted people on World Tourism Day. Along with this, CM Yogi has also shared some figures related to the tourists of UP.
How many tourists came to UP last year?
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that he is happy that the places associated with India's spiritual and religious traditions have been successful in attracting not only Uttar Pradesh but the entire world from tourism point of view. CM Yogi said that under the visionary leadership of PM Narendra Modi, last year more than 46 crore tourists visited religious, spiritual and heritage tourist places of Uttar Pradesh.
Major role of tourists in employment generation
CM Yogi Adityanath said that these tourists not only come to Uttar Pradesh for tourism but also play an important role in employment generation in Uttar Pradesh. CM Yogi said that today UP is known for its quality connectivity. Be it road connectivity, train connectivity, air connectivity or waterway connectivity, all these are available to us today.
Estimated number of tourists in Mahakumbh?
UP CM Yogi Adityanath said that I also want to remind you of Prayagraj Mahakumbh 2025. Prayagraj Mahakumbh will start from Makar Sankranti 2025 and will continue till 26 February 2025. CM Yogi said that we are confident that about 40 crore devotees from all over the world will participate in it.
