Mahadev Betting App Scam: India's investigating agencies have got major success in the Mahadev betting app case. According to sources, betting app owner Saurabh Chandrakar has been detained by Interpol, after which the process of bringing him to India has also been started. According to sources, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) team can bring Mahadev App owner Saurabh Chandrakar to India within a week.

It is being said that Interpol has given this information to CBI, which is the nodal agency. Let us tell you that ED had issued a Red Corner Notice. Let us tell you that Saurabh Chandrakar, the mastermind of Mahadev App, also has connections with D Company (Dawood Ibrahim). Cases have been registered against Mahadev App in many states of the country. A complaint has also been lodged in ED regarding this app. Let us tell you that earlier also in December 2023, Saurabh Chandrakar was put under house arrest in Dubai.

Center bans Mahadev betting app
On November 5, 2023, the Central Government ordered to block 22 illegal betting apps and websites including Mahadev Betting App. The order was issued under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act following ED recommendations. The Mahadev online betting app case came into limelight when ED claimed to have recorded email statements of 'cash couriers' which revealed that then Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel had allegedly received Rs 508 crore from UAE-based app promoters. . However, Baghel has denied the allegations.

ED had registered a case against Mahadev Betting App and its promoters on November 8.
On November 8, 2023, Mumbai Police had registered a case of fraud. The accused were accused of cheating and gambling. In this matter, a case was registered against more than 30 people including Saurabh Chandrakar, Ravi Uppal at Matunga Police Station. After this, the case was handed over to Mumbai Crime Branch and later SIT was formed to investigate it. However, the social worker had filed a petition in the lower court in this matter. In which action was taken against the app and its promoters. After hearing this, the court asked the Matunga police to register a case. Police said that an FIR has been registered against Saurabh, Ravi etc. According to the FIR, the accused have cheated people of about Rs 15 thousand crores.
