Maha-sangram on Ram temple offering controversy: ‘Playing with the faith of crores of devotees’, SP-Congress counterattack on CM Yogi’s statement, Nripendra Mishra also agreed to this

The disappearance of crores of rupees of cash from the donation boxes of Prabhu Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya and alleged allegations of financial irregularities have now brought a new upheaval in the country’s politics. As the investigation by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) is progressing, this administrative matter has completely heated up in the political circles.

After Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s visit to Ayodhya and the strong statements given there, now the main opposition parties Samajwadi Party (SP) and Congress have opened a front against the government and the temple management. From TV debates to social media, a heated war of words has erupted between the two sides on this issue.

CM Yogi’s counterattack from Ayodhya and assurance of 15 days

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who recently reached Ayodhya, along with giving a gift of ₹ 378 crore, broke his silence for the first time on the matter of offerings going missing from the donation boxes of Ram Temple. Taking the opposition to task, he said that those who are today talking about the interests of Ram devotees to make political gains, their own history has always been anti-Ram.

Appealing to the devotees of the country to exercise restraint, CM Yogi assured that the SIT is working very impartially and within the next 15 days the truth of this entire matter will be revealed to everyone. He made it clear that no culprit who breaks into the center of faith will be spared.

‘This is not only embezzlement of money but also of faith’ – SP spokesperson Anurag Bhadauria

After this statement of the Chief Minister, Samajwadi Party’s national spokesperson Anurag Bhadauria made a scathing attack on the government and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during a TV show. Bhadauria said bluntly, “This case is not just about financial irregularities or any simple theft, but it is about the deep faith of crores of Ram devotees around the world and the secret donations offered by them with full devotion.”

The SP spokesperson alleged that when such huge manipulation in the offerings inside the Ram temple came to light, initially no clear answer was given to the public by the temple management and the BJP. He said that Samajwadi Party has always been demanding complete transparency in the development of Ayodhya and the arrangements there and this time also it will die only by bringing out the truth.

Congress also surrounded, statement of temple construction committee chairman Nripendra Mishra in discussion

Congress has also jumped into this political conflict with full force. Senior Congress leaders have demanded the government to fix moral responsibility in this entire matter. The opposition says that when such big agencies are responsible for the security and surveillance of the temple, then how do crores of rupees keep flowing from the toilets of the Passenger Facility Center (PFC) to the intelligence bases?

Meanwhile, a recent statement by Ram Mandir Construction Committee Chairman Nripendra Mishra remains the most talked about topic at the moment. Nripendra Mishra has publicly admitted that ‘There is a strong need to make the existing monitoring system of offerings and donations within the temple premises more robust, modern and foolproof.’

The opposition is presenting this statement of Nripendra Mishra as the biggest proof of its victory and allegations. The opposition argues that when the head of the management himself admits that there were loopholes (deficiencies) in the system, it clearly means that theft has taken place on a large scale. However, people associated with the temple trust say that improving the system is a normal and continuous process, it should not be linked to politics.

BJP’s counterattack: Opposition is looking for mileage even before investigation

Countering these all-round attacks of the opposition, BJP leaders and spokespersons argue that the opposition is just trying to get political mileage without any facts, before the final report of the SIT comes.

The ruling party says that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself has taken this matter very seriously, and that is why its investigation has been directly handed over to the SIT to avoid laxity at the local level. At present, this Ram Temple offering controversy has become a big issue in the politics of Uttar Pradesh and now everyone’s eyes are on the closure report of the SIT, which will expose the ultimate truth of this entire controversy and the faces of the white-clad people involved in it.
