Madhya Pradesh tops the country in implementation of PM Janman | News India

Bhopal, 22 August (HS). Tribal Affairs, Public Asset Management and Bhopal Gas Tragedy Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Dr. Kunwar Vijay Shah conducted a departmental review on Thursday. During this, he inquired about the progress of the Prime Minister Janjati Adivasi Nyay Maha Abhiyan (PM Jan-Man). It was told in the meeting that Madhya Pradesh is at the top in the country in the implementation of PM Jan-Man. Work is being done at a fast pace in various categories of development work going on in 24 districts of Madhya Pradesh, which are specially backward tribal dominated, under PM Jan-Man. So far, about 80 percent of the approved works have been completed.

Tribal Affairs Minister Dr. Shah expressed satisfaction over the progress of PM Jan-Man. He said that a campaign should be launched for direct recruitment of educated youth of the state's special backward tribes Baiga, Bharia and Saharia in government services as per the government rules. Five villages in each district dominated by these tribes should be developed as Aadarsh ​​Gram. All necessary development work should be done in these villages. Model Anganwadis should also be prepared in these villages for special nutrition and care of children.

Minister Dr. Shah said that efforts should be made to complete all the development, skill upgradation and infrastructural construction works approved under PM Jan Man by 31 October. In this scheme, the government is making efforts to provide 'pucca house to everyone' and 'electricity to every house' by building 'roads to every village'. Under PM Jan Man, the central and state governments are jointly making efforts for the overall development of 11 lakh 42 thousand 719 population of special backward tribes in the state. Beneficiary-oriented and community development works are being done in their villages. The scheme is being regularly monitored by the Prime Minister's Office. 66 mobile health vans will soon become operational in the state for the health treatment and checkup of these tribes.

Principal Secretary Tribal Affairs Department Dr. E. Ramesh Kumar, Deputy Secretary Meenakshi Singh, Director Tribal Area Development Plan (TADP) Rita Singh and other departmental officers were present in the meeting.

In the meeting, Minister Dr. Shah said that under PM Janman, innovative efforts should be made in one village each of 24 districts and 89 tribal development blocks of the state for the development of special backward tribes. Under this, such Chaupals should be developed in each village selected here, where all the schemes of the state and central government should be displayed. LED TV, seating arrangement, CCTV camera and solar energy operated tree (solar tree) should be installed in the Chaupals. Seeing the solar energy tree, the villagers will be aware and inspired to use solar energy more and more. Along with this, efforts should also be made to install solar energy operated water ATMs in these villages.

Minister Dr. Shah said that in the second phase of setting up CM Rise schools in tribal development blocks, permission for hostel facility should also be taken. This will provide students the facility of accommodation, food and studies in the same campus.

Form project advisory boards as soon as possible

In the meeting, the Tribal Affairs Minister directed the officials to form all the project advisory boards as soon as possible. He said that the Tribal Affairs Department will be reviewed every week. There will also be divisional review meetings. He will personally review the schemes and other activities of the Tribal Affairs Department by visiting the districts for three to four days every month.

One thousand youths from gas affected families will be given employment oriented training

Minister Dr. Kunwar Vijay Shah also reviewed the work of Bhopal Gas Relief Tragedy and Rehabilitation Department. He said that one thousand youths from gas affected families will be given employment oriented training through Madhya Pradesh Employment and Training Council (MAPSET), a training institute under the Tribal Affairs Department, so that they can become self-reliant. The Gas Relief Department will bear the amount required for the training. He said that apart from computer courses, paramedical courses will also be provided to the youths from gas affected families. Now big steps will be taken by the department for better rehabilitation of gas victims.

Minister Dr. Shah directed to construct a drain near the Gas Relief Directorate and to get the premises cleaned properly. He directed the officers of the Bhopal District Administration to remove encroachments on the land and premises (sheds) owned by the Gas Relief Department in Bhopal city and hand over the possession back to the Bhopal Gas Relief Department.
