Madhya Pradesh government is committed to the all-round development of the disabled: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Bhopal, 9 November (HS). Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the government is ready to provide all kinds of help to the disabled people for their normal living. People of these classes have always hoisted their flag in the fields of education, health, employment etc. Be it the famous scholars of history Ashtavakra, Surdas, musician Ravindra Jain or Saint Rambhadracharya, all of them have proved their talent by defying their disability. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that our government is determined to provide opportunities to the disabled people. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that it is a matter of happiness that the disabled people coming in government service are discharging their duties with full efficiency. A Divisional Commissioner who, despite being disabled, has been discharging his responsibilities excellently for the last 6 months. The government is committed to the all-round development of the disabled.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav distributed laptops, motor tricycles and other assistive devices to 470 disabled people of Indore in a program organized at Gramin Haat market of Indore on Saturday. The Chief Minister thanked God for giving him the opportunity to distribute assistive devices to the disabled and said that life itself is struggle. The government always stands with the disabled people to be victorious in this struggle. He also mentioned the reservation rules in government services for the disabled and women. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh is the only state in the entire country which has given 35 percent reservation to women. Apart from this, assured of encouragement and help for livelihood.

Dr. Yadav has collaborated with the Social Justice and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Department of the State Government, ADIP Scheme of the Government of India and the CSR of Avantika Gas Agency to connect the disabled people with the main stream of the society and enable them to live with self-respect, along with the Indian Red Cross. With the cooperation of the society, motor tricycle was given to 155 disabled people of Indore district, laptop to 81 students under the Disabled Education Promotion Scheme, 6 couples. Under the Chief Minister Disabled Marriage Promotion Scheme, 130 disabled elderly people were given digital hearing aids, 99 disabled people were given wheel chairs, CP ware, crutches and callipers. Materials worth Rs 1 crore 33 lakh were distributed to a total of 470 disabled people in the district.

Apart from this, appointment letters were also handed over to five disabled people selected through the Strong Disabled Employment Portal, which was started on the initiative of Collector Ashish Singh with a view to provide employment opportunities to the disabled people in private sectors. On this occasion, Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silavat, Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava, MLA Manoj Patel, Mahendra Hardiya, District Panchayat President Reena Malviya, Gaurav Randive, Chintu Verma and public representatives and a large number of disabled people and citizens were present.
