Madhya Pradesh: After afternoon heat, hailstorm and rain accompanied by hailstorm, alert in 16 districts

Bhopal, 13 May (HS). These days two colors of weather are being seen in Madhya Pradesh. It is extremely hot in some parts and it is raining heavily in some areas. On Monday, there was heavy rain and storm in Ratlam, Indore and Dhar, while hail also fell in Dhar. The Meteorological Department has predicted thunderstorms and hailstorm at one or two places in the western and southern parts in the next 24 hours.

At the same time, the temperature continues to rise in the northern parts of the state. On Monday, 42.2 degree Celsius temperature was recorded in Narsinghpur and 42.0 degree Celsius in Gwalior. Meteorologists estimate that while rain and clouds in the western and southern parts of the state will not allow the temperature to rise much, the temperature will increase in the northern parts. Heat wave conditions may also occur in northern parts after May 17.

According to the Meteorological Center of Bhopal, moisture is coming to the state from the Arabian Sea due to the trough formed from Madhya Pradesh to Karnataka. Whereas in North-Western Madhya Pradesh, there is a cyclone in the upper part of the air, which is associated with Dronika. Due to its combined effect, rainfall activities are taking place in the western part of the state, especially in the districts of Indore and Ujjain divisions. Senior meteorologist Pravendra Kumar said that due to the impact of these weather systems, there may be showers with strong winds in Burhanpur, Khandwa, Alirajpur, Indore, Bhopal, Narmadapuram, Betul and Harda in the next 24 hours. There may also be hailstorm at some places. After this, a new disturbance is coming on 17th, the effect of which will be visible in the coming days.
