Made girls aware of their rights on International Girl Child Day

Kathua 11 October (Hindustan Reporter) Secretary on the topic 'Educate girl students about the legal consequences of child marriage and importance of education' under the instructions of Chairman District Legal Services Authority Kathua (Honorable Principal District and Sessions Judge Kathua) Jatinder Singh Jamwal on the occasion of “International Girl Child Day” District Legal Services Authority, Kathua, Kamiya Singh Andotra observed the program at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Kathua on Friday.

Panel lawyers Naiya Sharma and Mukesh Kumar Talotra were the resource persons and educated the girl students about the importance of education. They also made them aware about their legal rights and legal consequences of child marriage and its impact on the developing tender age and life. The program was attended by school staff members, students and para legal volunteers Nitin Shubh and Shalu Devi of DLSA Kathua. School students Chetna, Kashish Sharma, Anju Bhagat and Sonam Sharma also addressed the girl students about their rights.
