Jaipur, July 25 (HS). Bharatiya Janata Party's National President JP Nadda has appointed Rajya Sabha MP Madan Rathore as the new state president of the party and MP Radha Mohan Das Aggarwal as the state in-charge.
Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has congratulated Rathore. On social media, Chief Minister Sharma wrote – Hearty congratulations and best wishes to Rajya Sabha MP Madan Rathore on being appointed as the state president of BJP Rajasthan by the top leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Undoubtedly, under your energetic leadership and able guidance, BJP will set new standards of success in the state with the basic mantra of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas'. I pray to Lord Shri Ram for your excellent tenure.
Madan Rathore, born in Raipur of Pali district, is very simple and sociable. He has a hold among the workers. He has been associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. He has done graduation from Rajasthan University. Rathore comes from OBC category. He has been an MLA from Sumerpur assembly seat from 2003 to 2008 and from 2013 to 2018. In the previous BJP government, he was made the government deputy chief whip. Rathore has long experience of working in the BJP organization. He has been the Pali district president of BJP four times. The party did not give him a ticket in the assembly elections, later he was made a Rajya Sabha MP.
It is noteworthy that on Thursday, BJP state president CP Joshi had offered his resignation from his post. Joshi was in Delhi for the last four days. He also met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and National President JP Nadda. Joshi had offered his resignation once before as soon as the results of the Lok Sabha elections came out. Joshi wanted to leave the post ever since the BJP government was formed in Rajasthan in the results of the assembly elections (December-2023). He was asked by the party high command to remain in the post. The party government was formed under his leadership, he wanted to hand over the command to a new leader.
