These days, Govinda’s wife Sunita Ahuja and her daughter Tina Ahuja are seen sharing the screen together in the new and popular reality show ‘Maa Hai Na’ of OTT platform Zee5. This show has started streaming this month from 12th June 2026.
However, as soon as the show went on-air, it started being compared on social media to the former blockbuster show ‘Laughter Chefs’ of the television channel Colors and it is being called a copy of it. First project with mother Sunita Ahuja: Tina’s experience
Tina Ahuja is very happy to be in front of the camera with her mother for the first time. He said, “I was more than excited about this show, I was looking forward to it. This is my first professional project with my mother Sunita Ahuja. Also, this is the first experience in my life of being a celebrity guest on such a cooking and comedy show, which was amazing.”
When she was asked that the show is completely based on cooking, is she a good cook in real life? On this Tina laughed and accepted her weakness and said, “I am very bad at cooking. Before coming to the show, I thought that I could not cook even a single dish in the kitchen, but during the show, I somehow managed everything. To tell the truth, I am not afraid of cooking and perhaps it was because of my frankness and poor cooking skills that the makers chose me for this show. However, with a little help from my mother on the sets, I used to manage.”
Hesitation of being a star kid and distance from reality shows
Star kids are often accused of nepotism and favoritism in Bollywood, so was there any hesitation in becoming a part of a reality show? On this question Tina clearly denied and said, “I had no such hesitation. For the past many years, I had been getting offers from many big reality TV shows, but I was never much interested in them. I said yes to this show (‘Maa Hai Na’) only because of my mother. I had never worked with her before, so I thought this would be a great opportunity to strengthen our mother-daughter relationship and spend quality time behind the camera. I am not here for any competition. “But I just came to have fun.”
Big revelation made regarding ‘Bigg Boss’ or ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’
When Tina was asked if she would like to do TV’s biggest reality shows like ‘Bigg Boss’ Or ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ When she can be seen in India, she made a shocking revelation:
No risk to health: Tina said, “My answer is clearly ‘No’. And let me make you clear that in ‘Maa Hai Na’ too, I have only a small cameo (Cameo), I am not a part of the entire show and will be seen only in a few episodes. I respect all the other big reality shows very much, but at the moment I have other priorities in life. I have my own restaurant business which I manage. Apart from this, some serious things happened to me a few years ago. There were accidents and I have suffered many physical injuries in my childhood. So, I don’t want to take any risk with my health. If I get a comfortable, safe and good OTT show or a light-hearted project like ‘Maa Hai Na’, I will definitely think about it.”
Gave a befitting reply on comparison with ‘Laughter Chefs’
These days, when ‘Maa Hai Na’ was said to be an exact copy of ‘Laughter Chefs’ on the digital platform, Tina Ahuja responded very seriously. He said, “I don’t have anything special to say about this comparison that is happening on the internet. It is quite possible that the audience might be feeling the same at first sight since the main theme of both the shows is ‘Cooking’. But let me make it clear that our show is not just limited to cooking and making people laugh, rather it is completely based on the emotional relationship between mother and child, the bond and mutual chemistry between them, which makes it completely different from other shows.”
