The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) has directed seven airlines to ensure delivery of passengers' bags within 30 minutes. BCAS directed airlines to implement necessary measures within 10 days till 26 February. After this, airline companies have improved their services. Now after this instruction, air passengers will get great convenience and they will not have to wait long to collect their luggage at the airport.

Air India, Indigo also got instructions

According to officials, on Friday BCAS wrote a letter to seven airlines including Air India, IndiGo, Akasa, SpiceJet, Vistara, Air India Express Connect and Air India Express. It was asked to ensure that the final item was delivered within 30 minutes. BCAS began the continuous practice of monitoring baggage arrival times at six major airports in the belt in January.

The official said that since the beginning of the review exercise, the performance of all airlines is being monitored on a weekly basis and there has been improvement, but it is not in line with the mandate. The first bag should reach the baggage belt within 10 minutes and the last bag within 30 minutes. The official said that this monitoring is currently being done at six major airports. However, BCAS has directed airlines to ensure that the mandatory levels are achieved at all airports where they fly.
