Ludhiana: The father and son, who were returning with the police after filing a complaint of assault at Chowki Lalton, were attacked by the accused near village Khedi. The accused first hit the elderly father with a Balero car and then ran the car over his head, due to which his head got injured. Son Birpal Singh took 69-year-old father Hariram to the hospital in critical condition. Due to his critical condition, he was referred to PGI, Chandigarh, where he died. The incident is of March 1. Based on the son's statement, the police have made Kulwinder Singh, Gurumeet Singh, Dr. accused. A case of murder has been registered against Sikandar Singh and Sarabjit Kaur. Late night the police arrested the accused mother and son Sarabjit Kaur and Kulwinder Singh.
In the complaint given to the police, Birpal Singh told that he works as a carpenter. His father was a watchman. Some time ago his uncle's sons had a fight with someone in village Himayunpur. In the said case the accused had also written his father's name. He had a dispute with the accused regarding this. On the night of March 1, when he left home, the accused surrounded him, caught hold of him, beat him and abused him. After this, both of them approached the police with a complaint at night. After registering the complaint, the police personnel left both of them in the car due to fear of life. While getting down from the car, drunken Kulwinder and Gurmeet Blairo came into the car and committed the crime.
The incident was carried out after the conspiracy
Birpal Singh alleged that the accused had carried out the incident as part of a conspiracy. The police are presenting the mother and son in the court and interrogating them. Investigating officer Kulveer Singh said that the other two accused are also being searched.
