Because under his guidance Purva took special training in Gangotri.

Two days journey from Gangotri, then a difficult climb of 1,300 meters

Purva, Shailesh Semwal and Bihari Singh Rana started the trek from Gangotri at 9 am on 7 September. After two days of challenging trekking, the team reached Rudragaira Base Camp at an altitude of 4,350 meters. The summit push started from the base camp at 4 am on 10 September. In an arduous climb of about eight hours and 30 minutes, the team gained a height of about 1,300 meters and reached the 5,826-meter peak at 12:30 pm. The route had steep snow, rocky sections and difficult open sections. With increasing altitude, lack of oxygen and physical fatigue increased the challenge, but the team did not give up. Purva used the encouragement she received during the meeting with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath as the energy for her campaign and is continuously moving towards new goals.

Message of clean Himalaya from peaks and plastic, now Mission Everest

Purva has also linked her campaign to environmental protection. Through the ‘Peaks and Plastic’ initiative she is spreading the message of awareness of plastic waste and responsible mountaineering in mountain areas. He says that as glorious as it is to conquer the Himalayan peaks, it is equally important to keep them clean and safe. After hoisting the tricolor on Rudragaira, Purva now has her sights set on 8,848.86 meter high Mount Everest. Their aim is to spread the message of women empowerment, youth inspiration and clean Himalayas along with hoisting the Indian tricolor on Everest.
