Lucknow University students protest against atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh, take to the streets for justice

News India Live, Digital Desk: Students of Lucknow University today protested strongly against the continuous atrocities on the Hindu community in Bangladesh. A large number of students gathered in front of Gate No. 1 of the University and expressed their deep concern and displeasure over the justice being meted out to Hindus in Bangladesh. They had posters and banners in their hands on which slogans were written against the violation of minority rights in Bangladesh.

The protesting students said that Hindu minorities are being continuously targeted in Bangladesh. Their homes, temples and properties are being attacked and their human rights are being openly violated. The students termed these incidents as “violations of international human rights” and strongly demanded ensuring the safety of Hindus in the neighboring country.

During this time the students also appealed to the Indian Foreign Ministry for intervention. Their main demand was that the Indian government should immediately take cognizance of this matter and put pressure on the Bangladesh government so that the safety of the Hindu community there could be ensured. The students also appealed that the whole world and human rights organizations should pay attention to these serious incidents and raise their voice for the victims. He said that he stands with his Hindu brothers and sisters in Bangladesh and will not remain silent until he gets justice.

Even though this demonstration was peaceful, the demand for justice and security was clearly echoing in the voices of the students. This incident has once again brought to the fore the growing concern among Indian students about the situation of the Hindu community in Bangladesh.
