LSG will try to settle the score of previous defeat against KKR

Lucknow, 04 May (HS). Lucknow Super Giants will take the field against Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday at their home ground Atal Bihari Bajpayee Ekana Stadium. During this time, his eyes will be on equalizing the loss suffered by KKR in the last match.

It is noteworthy that Lucknow Super Giants had to face defeat against Kolkata Knight Riders at their home ground Eden Garden Stadium. When the teams of Lucknow Supergiants and Kolkata Knight Riders, who are moving towards the playoffs of this 17th season of IPL, will face each other on the field on Sunday, their intention will be to strengthen their claim for their place in the last four with a win.

After defeating Mumbai Indians by 24 runs in a low-scoring match at their home ground, KKR has 14 points and the team is very close to playoff qualification. In such a situation, there will be pressure on LSG under the leadership of Lokesh Rahul to avoid the threat of Shreyas Iyer's team. LSG has 12 points from 10 matches with six wins and four losses and is placed third, just one place below KKR. At fourth place, Sunrisers Hyderabad with 12 points while Chennai Super Kings with 10 points and Delhi Capital with 10 points are also strongly in the race to make it to the top four.

LSG had to work hard to chase a modest target of 145 runs against Mumbai Indians in their previous encounter here at the Ekana Stadium. The team could win by only four wickets in the last over. Nicholas Pooran has not scored a half-century so far this season but on many occasions he has scored fast runs for the team in the last over. However, he was seen struggling to score runs against Mumbai, due to which his role as a match finisher has come under a bit of question.

LSG's Ayush Badoni has also failed to impress except in a couple of matches this season. He would like to regain the momentum against KKR. The bowlers of Lucknow team will have to try their hardest to stop the aggressive batsmen of KKR. Mayank Yadav, who impressed the team with his fast bowling, will hardly be seen playing for LSG now.

KKR team has faced three defeats in this season. The team has made a strong comeback after these three defeats. Lucknow players will also not try to take Rinku Singh, playing for KKR, lightly. If LSG wants to go to the playoffs with its sixth win by playing the last match of hosting at its home ground Ekana Stadium, then KKR will make every possible effort to stop it and reach the top.
